The OCP limit is adjustable from 0.45A to 2.2A via an external resistor. ISL6443AIVZ-TK also includes a thermal protection (TSP) function that limits the junction temperature of the power MOSFET to ensure reliable operation at high ambient temperatures. A thermal shutdown (TSD) feature can also be used to lower the operating temperature of the power MOSFET for improved efficiency.

ISL6443AIVZ-TK also comes with a wide input voltage range of 2.7V-5.5V and an output voltage range of 0.9V-5.5V, allowing it to be used in a variety of applications. The chip also has a 0.5A switch current rating and integrated soft-start function, which reduces output inrush current, and minimizes output voltage overshoot and undershoot during start-up. Furthermore, it has a low quiescent current of just 0.1μA and delivers up to 92% efficiency.
