The ISL78233EVAL2Z evaluation board is an off-line switching power supply (SPS) board designed to evaluate N-channel MOSFETs used in switching regulators and power supplies. This reference design board has an AC/DC and DC/DC converter, and can be used to evaluate various N-channel and P-channel MOSFET devices. The board serves as an evaluation platform for ISL78233, a dual-channel synchronous rectification controller with side-by-side current sensing capability.

The evaluation board hosts a full-featured system containing a DC/DC and an AC/DC converter housed in a compact enclosure. The DC/DC portion is a buck converter rated for up to 4A peak output current at 12V output voltage, and is designed to demonstrate the benefits of synchronous rectification.
