It includes an over-temperature protection, a foldback current protection, and a protection against ESD, as well as programmable soft-start, current limit, and thermal limiting. It has an adjustable output current of 0.1A to 2.5A, and a maximum input voltage of 40V. It requires very minimal external components, and features an adjustable switching frequency from 30kHz to 500kHz.The ISL78302ARWCZ operates by regulating an external N-channel MOSFET which switches the input voltage to the output.
