1. Describe

The ISL80103IRAJZ-T is a low voltage, high current, single output LDO specified for 2A and 3A output current respectively. These LDOs operate from an input voltage of 2.2V to 6V and are capable of delivering output voltages from 0.8V to 5.5V. An external capacitor on the soft-start pin provides regulation for applications requiring inrush current below the current limit. The ENABLE function allows the device to be placed in a low quiescent current shutdown mode. Built on a sub-micron BiCMOS process, the product family delivers best-in-class analog performance and overall value. These CMOS (LDOs) consume significantly less quiescent current than bipolar LDOs as a function of load, so they are more efficient and allow smaller packages. Quiescent current has been moderately compromised for best-in-class fast load transient response, so the total AC regulation band of these LDOs is low.
