The ISL80103IRAJZ is a three-phase PMIC – Voltage Regulator – Linear designed to give an ultra-low voltage dropout performance. It is intended to enable the use of very long cables and wide range of load conditions in different applications. The device offers a high efficiency, low charge-pump current, high-transient-response, low output voltage noise, and adjustable output voltage.

The device features a fully programmable output voltage from 3.2V to 19V. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, an input voltage of 3V to 22V and an output current integrator of up to 1A. It is equipped with an adjustable overload protection.

Working Principle

The ISL80103IRAJZ has two constant voltage and two linear current limit devices. This device allows for precise control of the output current and voltage levels.

The voltage regulators are used to supply precise regulated volt-ages to up to three different output rails with induction resistor accuracy. The linear current limit devices protect each output rail from excessive loading.

The ISL80103IRAJZ features an adjustable overload protection and a Charge Pump current circuit failure output. This allows it to secure the system from excessive current flow.

It uses Adaptive Voltage positioning (AVP) technology to provide precise voltage regulation even in transient and dynamic load conditions. The AVP can be adjusted and is used to reduce output voltage droop incurred by load variations.
