The ISO5451DW is a robust commutating MOSFET driver for high side in isolated applications. This isolated high side driver provides an isolated MOSFET voltage drive control circuit that provides isolation and protection for high side power switch applications ranging from high voltage motor drives to motor driver and board mounted power systems. It offers isolation barriers of 7.5kVrms and is compliant with various circuit protection specifications.

Thus, the power side MOSFET is turned off, when the linear regulator voltage is below ground.

The power side can be configured to be either normally on or normally off, depending on the application. Additionally, the ISO5451DW has two failsafe protection features, enable and switch control pins, which prevent shorts from occurring in the event that the output is not properly configured.
