1. Describe

The ISOW7841FDWE is a family of high-performance, quad-channel reinforced digital isolators with integrated high-efficiency power converters. Integrated DCDC converter provides up to 650 mW of isolation Energy efficient and configurable Various input and output voltage configurations are available. Therefore, these devices eliminate the isolation of space-constrained stand-alone isolated power supply designs. The ISOW7841FDWE family of devices offers high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions while isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/O. The signal isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer with a dual-capacitor silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulating barrier, while the power isolation uses an on-chip transformer separated by a thin-film polymer as the insulating material. Various configurations of forward and reverse channels are available. The default output is high for ISOW784x devices without the F suffix and low for devices with the F suffix if the input signal is lost. These devices help prevent noise currents on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuits. Through innovative chip design and layout techniques, the device's electromagnetic compatibility has been significantly enhanced to simplify system-level ESD, EFT, surge and emissions compliance. The high efficiency of the power converter allows operation at higher ambient temperatures. The device is available in a 16-pin SOIC wide-body DWE package.
