The JANTX 1N6465 is an SMT unidirectional Zener device which can be used for surface mount soldering applications. The JANTX 1N6465 is a two-terminal device with a small case size and a low capacitance of 8 pF between terminals. The device has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. It has an excellent surge current handling capability up to 5500 A (8/20 μs). The device is tested and qualified to the relevant MIL-PRF-19500 standards.
The JANTX 1N6465 operates as a highly efficient bidirectional Zener clamping device. Its high clamping voltage rating and low capacitance make it well suited for peripheral protection applications such as portable computers, digital cameras, and other sensitive electronic devices.
