Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) are specialized integrated circuits that are designed to convert digital signals to analog voltage. As such, they are commonly used in electronic circuits to convert digital signals from microprocessors into analog format for various signal processing applications.The JM38510/12103BJA is a 8 bit synchronous serial Digital to Analog Converter. It is designed to convert digital data to analog output voltage with high accuracy and high speed. The device has two 8-bit registers (DAC1 and DAC2) that store the data. The output is created by using the data stored in the specific in these two registers.The JM38510/12103BJA has a serial data input and a serial data output. The device has an integrated 8-bit Digital to Analog Converter that can produce an analog output voltage from -10V to +10V. When the ON time is longer than OFF time, then the output voltage is positive. Similarly, when the OFF time is longer than ON time, then the output voltage is negative.The output of the DAC can be programmed by means of a digital control input. This allows the user to adjust the output voltage by providing differential control.The power consumption of the JM38510/12103BJA is very low, which makes it ideal for battery operated devices. The device also has a low stand-by current of 25µA and a forward operating voltage of 3.3V.Overall, the JM38510/12103BJA is a versatile 8-bit Digital to Analog Converters that provides accurate analog outputs in high speed applications.
