Working Principle

JWS1005/RA is an integrated rectifier module that contains an opto-coupler, diode bridge rectifier circuit, and a filtering capacitor. The module has a wide input voltage range from 90V AC to 265V AC. When the AC power is supplied to the JWS1005/RA, the opto-coupler detects the changes in the wave forms and generates a control signal to the diode bridge rectifier circuit. The diode bridge rectifier circuit then converts the AC to pulsed DC voltage and stores it in the filter capacitor after rectification. The output of the filter capacitor is then stabilized by an internal current loop for the output voltage.

JWS1005/RA also supports multiple output voltages, such as 12V/1A, 5V/2A and 3.3V/1A. For multiple output voltage compatibility, a single switchable output voltage option is provided to select between 12V and 3.3V. The other two voltages can be set using the on-board jumpers. In order to ensure that the voltage supplied from the JWS1005/RA is correct and stable, it also features an isolated voltage feedback circuit to ensure the output voltage is kept accurate. The voltage feedback circuit is also connected to an internal sense pin, which is used to adjust the output voltage level in real-time.
