Working Principle

K8DS-PU1 is based on a microprocessor-based signal processor. It is designed to measure and monitor both current and voltage signals of a single or two-phase system, and to monitor the output relay status and provide a live output signal to indicate the output state.The input range of the device is from 0 to 10 Volts DC. The device is designed to measure both positive and negative voltages to an accuracy of 0.1 Volts. The device also supports a relay output which is normally open at 0 Volts and closed at Volts above 0.The current channel of the device has an input range of 0 to 6 Amps, with an accuracy of 0.1 Amps. The current channel automatically senses the current draw of the connected load and triggers an ON/OFF output control relay in response to the measured current. The device also features an analog output which is used to alert the user if the current exceeds a pre-defined threshold value. The display of the device allows the user to view the measured values, and change the settings of the relay output, such as the set point, as well as the hysteresis. The device can also be accessed remotely using a serial port, enabling the user to control and monitor the device, and to view the measured values.K8DS-PU1 is designed for use in a wide range of applications and is well suited for automotive applications.
