KIT33905D5EKEVBE is a comprehensive evaluation and demonstration board/kit designed to provide customers with all necessary elements to easily evaluate the TIDA-33905D5EKEVBE buck-boost offline LED Lighting. This evaluation board/kit features a dual channel high-voltage buck-boost offline LED lighting minimum component design with all necessary components to create a complete, working evaluation. This evaluation board/kit includes both the transformer-less buck boost design with an integrated semi-ballast controller, an inductor, electrolytic and ceramic capacitors, a very reliable control switch, and other components as well to complete a working system.

The overall working principle of the kit consists of a high-voltage buck-boost offline LED lighting isolated source that is connected to an optimized dual channel Power System Value Section (PSVS). The PSVS drives a switch mode buck boost topology. From the input side, the buck-boost converter takes in both AC and DC power and then converts the input voltage into a regulated output voltage with a maximum voltage rating of 39V. The output voltage of the buck-boost converter is also regulated and is adjusted through the external potentiometer. The current flowing through the switching element of the buck-boost converter is measured using a currentsense resistor and then compared to the pre-determined peak current limit. When the sensed current is equal or greater than the set limit, the PSVS system will regulate the peak current by controlling the duty cycle of the switch element.

The TIDA-33905D5EKEVBE buck-boost offline LED Lighting evaluation board/kit features an optimized LED driver that is designed for typical LED lighting applications such as street lights, gas station lighting, roadway lighting, building façade lighting, and many other interior and exterior lighting scenarios. The evaluation board/kit is also designed to be a low-component count, cost effective, and highly reliable solution for a wide range of offline LED lighting applications.

The TIDA-33905D5EKEVBE evaluation board/kit offers major feature sets for ease of use and test. This evaluation board/kit features a wide input voltage regulation range of 4V–32V and a maximum output load current of 5A along with input-current, overvoltage, and undervoltage protection. It offers a continuous load operating voltage of 3.3V to 42V with adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 39V. The TIDA-33905D5EKEVBE buck-boost offline LED Lighting evaluation board/kit also offers protection from short circuit, open circuit and LED thermal conditions. The built-in LED current monitoring allows the user to set the LED dimming feature. The kit also supports the popular mixed-mode dimming technique, allowing users to mix PWM and analog LEDs to create linear dimming.

The TIDA-33905D5EKEVBE buck-boost offline LED Lighting evaluation board/kit is an easy to use solution for evaluating, testing, and demonstrating dual channel isolated, high voltage buck-boost LED lighting applications.
