Magnetic sensors are now an integral part of our daily lives, used in a variety of fields, including robotics and measuring instruments. In particular, linear magnetic sensors have recently become popular as they can accurately measure position or relative displacement. One such magnetic sensor is the KMZ41-118, a buzzer-based linear sensor.

KMZ41-118 is a linear magnetic positioning sensor based on the position detection principle of Hall effect that hallmarks the sensing effect. It uses a non-contact sensing method to measure the relative linear displacement of a magnetic field. It utilizes a special type of argon-filled quartz tube, which is highly sensitive to magnetic fields, and has a built-in reed relay buzzer which is switched on by a magnetic field in an active on-state.

The KMZ41-118 is mainly composed of an anisotropic pyroelectric substrate, a quartz wafer substrate, an external shield and a Hall element (KMZ41-118). The quartz tube assembly is mounted in the middle of the quartz wafer substrate at a moderate temperature and pressure, and the Hall element serves as the sensing element for the KMZ41-118.The KMZ41-118 is designed to detect a change in the magnetic field evaluation method using microcomputer arithmetic and to obtain a linear displacement within a certain range when the magnetic field detection is not affected by outside magnetic interference.

The main applications of the KMZ41-118 are measuring relative linear displacement, positioning, speed regulation, height or position detection and display, and controlling the movement of actuators. It can also be used to detect the height, swing or rotation angle of mechanical parts. It is most often used in robotic arms, which often have to move through a very narrow area, and in measuring instruments. With its high accuracy and accuracy, the KMZ41-118 is also widely used in navigational and surveying systems.

The working principle of the KMZ41-118 is based on the output of Hall's equation. When a magnetic field is present, the Hall effect signal is electronically demultiplexed and then converted into a linear displacement signal with its linear position equation. The quartz wafer with the Hall element is placed in the middle, and the changes in the linear position of the magnet can be detected as changes in the Hall signal. TheHall element and the quartz wafer form a Hall probe, which is used to measure the linear position of the magnetic field.

The KMZ41-118 is ideal for applications that require accurate, precise linear position measurements without the need for contact sensors. It uses a highly sensitive method to measure magnetic fields and, as mentioned earlier, its applications range from robotics to measuring instruments and navigation systems.
