L4995RK is a linear voltage regulator, which is a type of PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) voltage regulator. It is designed for applications such as battery-powered systems, microprocessor or microcontroller-powered systems, telecommunications systems, and AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. The L4995RK regulator functions by providing low-output voltage stabilization on a single-output microprocessor- and microcontroller-based systems.
The L4995RK has a wide input voltage range of 3.6 V to 40 V, and an output voltage range of 0.8 V to 28 V. It can handle up to 1.5 A of current and has a maximum power dissipation of 5 W. If the output current is above 1A, the SCPC should be enabled.
The L4995RK also has an Automatic Shutdown feature (ASD) in which the device will automatically disable itself under certain conditions for Thermal or Overcurrent protection. This feature helps protect the device from damage due to excessive current or temperature. The logic levels of the ASD pin can be programmed as either active high or active low, depending on the application.
