When a signal is applied to the Gate Terminal of an L4X5RP, the device is turned ‘on’ and a current is allowed to pass through the anode and cathode terminals. As the current increases, the voltage drop across the device increases, causing the device to reach its ‘);on-state’.Once the device is in its on-state, current can continue to flow until the voltage drop across the device drops below a certain threshold. At this point, the device is turned ‘off’ and the current is stopped.
