It supports industry-leading wide input voltage ranges, multiple output configurations and can accommodate up to six different output rails. With its state-of-the-art PMOSFET structure, this PMIC ensures an extremely high power stage efficiency and maximum power savings. Its advanced overvoltage protection ratings and its interleaved switching topology minimize EMI radiation and thermal stress.
LA5693 also provides a high level of integration, thus reducing system size and cost, and provides a comprehensive range of output and protection options for both the high and low regulation modes. Its thermal foldback protection greatly reduces high thermal stress in extreme operating conditions and it optimizes thermal management solutions.

Working Principle
LA5693 integrates multiple power components into one monolithic switch chip, including two P-Channel MOSFETs, two N-Channel MOSFETs, two power converters, one low dropout linear regulator, and a comprehensive set of protection features. The device regulates the input voltage to an appropriate value by providing power supply sequencing and overvoltage protection.
The integrated MOSFETs deliver a very low on-resistance and high efficiency, helping to reduce power consumption, Thermal Design Power (TDP), and system size. The two power converters, buck and buck-boost, can be used to provide multiple output levels for different rails and also enable an efficient load sharing and balanced load pooling.
The advanced power management features include overvoltage and overcurrent protections, as well as thermal foldback protection which reduces the current level and the switching frequency when the device is under high temperature conditions. Moreover, the device also features a low-power standby mode, and a flexible power-down mode when the system is in idle or sleep mode.
