The LAUNCHXL-CC1350-4 is a type of RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards developed by Texas Instruments. It is a single-chip, low power, sub-1-GHz wireless microcontroller with enhanced RF features, such as on-board frequency hopping, low-power modes, and a large memory. The LAUNCHXL-CC1350-4 provides support for Sub-1GHz frequency bands including the 433, 868, and 915 MHz bands. Additionally, the board also has integrated RF power amplifier, Fractional-n PLL synthesizer, low-noise receiver, and integrated ultra-low-power operation modes. The platform also features an internal flash memory of 32KB and RAM of 8KB.

The working principle of the LAUNCHXL-CC1350-4 can be broken down into the following steps. First is the power-on. The system will begin by powering on its internal components to allow them to begin functions. After powering on, the device will scan for available frequencies. The board can detect and lock onto a frequency within seconds so that it can begin transmission. Following that, it will send out a signal that is routed to its destination. The destination then receives the signal, processes it, and optionally sends out a response signal.
