The board offers users various development tools such as an integrated debugger, a development environment, and flash programmer.The microcontroller itself is adopted from the F2802x family of ultra-low power solutions. It is optimized for speed and power efficiency at 40 MHz and is equipped with a wide variety of peripherals, including an integrated 10-bit ADC, 12-bit DAC, two PWM modules and various digital peripherals.The board further comprises two motor control plug-ins, one for DC motors, and one for BLDC motors.Together with hardware periphery, the two plug-ins create a complete motor control solution by enabling users to control both brushed and brushless motors.To make debugging easier, the LAUNCHXL-F28027 is equipped with an integrated debug interface, which supports external debugging as well as drag-and-drop debugging protocol over JTAG or Debuggers. The board also offers up to 16KB of onboard debug memory and enables users to use code development tools like Code Composer Studio. It also supports two modes of operation; emulation or byte mode, that offer users a great flexibility for debugging various applications.
