Solid State Relays
Solid state relays (SSRs) are electronic switches which perform the same function as mechanical relays and contactors. They are used in a variety of applications, and offer excellent performance and reliability when compared to mechanical relays.
One of the advantages of using solid state relays is the greatly reduced size and weight when compared to mechanical relays. This makes them ideal for use in space-constrained environments, such as in control panels or instrumentation. Additionally, they are highly reliable, with consistent and repeatable operation, and require no maintenance. Due to these advantages, the usage of solid state relays is increasing, and they can be found in an ever-expanding range of applications.
LBA710 Application Field and Working Principle
The LBA710 is a compact, reliable, and universal solid state relay designed for use in industrial automation, control, and machine-building applications. It is available with control voltage of either 12 or 24 VDC, and can switch up to 10 A of AC or DC load at up to 250 Vac or 60 Vdc. It features a zero-cross detection circuitry which helps to minimize EMI and protect the output from false triggering due to electrical noise.
The LBA710 features two operating modes: in the ON/OFF mode, the relay will switch the output after receiving a short pulse, while in the phase-angle control mode, the 400 Hz output can be dimmed continuously in response to a 0-10 Volt signal. In addition, it features current-limiting circuitry which helps protect the output from overload or short circuit.
The LBA710 is extremely reliable, with low thermal drift, high surge capability, and dielectric strength of 5000Vac between the input and output. It is UL recognized, and is available with socket and screw terminal connection.
