Working Principle

The LBB120 solid state relay module is based on the principle of thyristor turn-on voltage. The voltage is used to control the current, and then a large current (source current) is connected to the output of the relay. It can be connected directly to the input of the switching device or into a constant current circuit, and control the input current of the switching device.When the relay is in the off state, the voltage across the anode and cathode of the thyristor is zero, and the current in the circuit is insignificant. When an external trigger voltage is applied, the voltage across the anode and cathode of the thyristor rises rapidly. When the voltage reaches a certain value, the thyristor is naturally turned on and the current can flow through. Therefore, the output current of the relay is supplied to the switching device, and the driving device is forced to operate and accomplish the switching action. When the external control voltage is removed, the voltage across the anode and cathode of the thyristor is forced to turn off, and the current in the circuit is also reduced to zero. Thus, the switch element is stopped and the driving element is turned off, accomplishing the disconnection action.The LBB120 solid state relay can respond in microseconds, and it has high performance and safety. The solid state relay has no mechanical parts inside and no sparking when turning on and off, thus it has high insulation capability. Compact and lightweight, the LBB120 provides convenient installation; it also has long service life and high reliability. With all these features, the LBB120 is ideal for any application in the fields of industrial control, intelligent transportation, robotics, automatic testing, medical devices, heating control, etc.
