LC05111C14MTTTG is an advanced Battery Management System developed by Linear Technology for Portable Electronic devices. It\'s a highly integrated, low-power buck-boost regulator that can be used in applications such as cell phones, laptop computers, tablet computers and other portable electronic devices.
The LC05111C14MTTTG is designed to work with a variety of Lithium-Ion, Lithium-Polymer or coin cells with total discharge capacities ranging from 1-10 Ah. It operates with a minimum input voltage of 2.7 Volts and supports up to 2A of constant current and 3A of peak current. The regulator can boost up input voltage to a maximum of 5.5 Volts. Depending on the load, it can also operate in a bucking mode where input voltage is regulated and output voltage is higher than the input voltage.
The regulator includes advanced features such as over-voltage protection, Brown-in ramp generator and current sense and comparator to regulate the output voltage. It also includes an optional N-Channel MOSFET that can be used for charger control, to ensure that the system will not enter into a state of over-discharge. In addition, the system includes short-circuit protection, thermal protection, and power-good monitoring. With these features, the LC05111C14MTTTG provides lower system power consumption and is ideal for high-performance battery management.
