A Solid State Relay (SSR) is an electrically controlled switch used to switch on and off a wide variety of electrical loads such as motors, solenoids, lights and more. The LCB717 is a type of SSR featuring high frequency switching and high level switching performance. Working Principle

The LCB717 is based on the “non-contact switching principle”. This means that the SSR utilizes a switching element (Electronic Switch) to cut off and restore the electrical circuit without a physical contact between the two sides.In the LCB717 SSR, two electronic semiconductor switches are used, namely an AC/DC switch (SW1) and a DC/AC switch (SW2). The input is applied to the AC/DC switch SW1 which, in turn, opens or closes depending on the input. The DC/AC switch SW2 is then switched on or off after the AC/DC switch SW1 has opened or closed. When both switches are simultaneously opened, the circuit is closed and current flows.The LCB717 relies on the latest temperature protection devices, temperature control designs, and reverse connection protection design to safeguard the unit from any kind of over-temperature failure, protection against short circuit, and reverse connection protection.
