The LCE58A is a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode which is designed to protect high-speed circuits against electrical disturbances such as transients and ESD (electrostatic discharge). It is a high-performance three-line protection diode for general purpose applications and operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +125°C.

This rugged and robust device is constructed using a Millimeter-Wave power-processing package which consists of an Schottky diode along with an ESD arrestor in a shielded package and employs a dual-layer design for maximum dissipated energy. It is also designed to minimize the on-state forward voltage drop to ensure optimum protection to the protected circuit. The LCE58A can handle high-frequency transients by quickly dissipating the surge current to ground, providing a maximum of 6A of peak current.

The LCE58A is also designed to protect high-speed data lines such as USB, HDMI, Ethernet and audio-video lines. It features low intrinsic capacitance of <2pF to ensure low voltage losses and secure data integrity. It also has a built-in series switch mode protection for maximum data line protection and has a single source impedance for improved high frequency performance.
