LD CQAR-APAQ-23-1-700-R18 Application Field and Working Principle
Light-emitting diode (LED) lighting products are widely used in applications nowadays due to the advantages of high efficiency, long life, and low power consumption. However, the application range of LED lighting varies widely, from general lighting to color-changing, photography, landscape lighting, lighting for billboard displays, and more. Among these application fields, the working principle and performance of LEDs in color-changing application can be evaluated by LD CQAR-APAQ-23-1-700-R18. LD CQAR-APAQ-23-1-700-R18 is a high power LED chip composed of an aluminum alloy substrate, gallium arsenide-containing phosphor, and other materials. Also, it is known as a "Heat Producing and Color Changing LED". The chip has a maximum lighting source power of 1W, with a maximum luminous flux of 700 lumens. Its rated color temperature is between 2300 K and 8000K, while its typical color temperature is around 6500K.The most common application of this chip is color-changing LEDs. Color-changing LEDs produce a wide range of shades and hues, by selectively adjusting the voltage in the range of 0 to 10V. By changing the voltage, the light intensity and color of the LED light can be adjusted. For instance, the voltage can be adjusted from 0 to 3V for light intensity, and from 3 to 10V for color selection.At the same time, heat production is also an important factor. As the chip’s operating voltage increases, the heat produced also increases. A practice test found that at 10V, the chip was able to produce up to 16000mW of heat. This high heating potential is beneficial for color-changing applications. The heat produced by the chip facilitates the transition between different LEDs and prevents them from damage, such as burning or discoloration.Apart from its use in color-changing applications, LD CQAR-APAQ-23-1-700-R18 chip is also suitable to use in multi-hue displays.
