LD6805K/33P is a high accuracy low drop-out voltage regulator from DC/DC Converters Power Management ICs family. With high accuracy, low noise, low dropout and superior line/load transient performance, it is ideal for use in microprocessor- and memory-based systems. Through a combination of advanced CMOS technology and process control, LD6805K/33 provides low output noise, high accuracy, low dropout and fast transient response. Working Principles:This Linear Regulator works through series pass operation based on the advanced CMOS process which helps reduce the amount of power lost in the form of heat. The basic principles of operation are input capacitance, power output, voltage reference, current limit and feedback.
LD6805K/33P includes an input capacitor, an output capacitor and a feedback circuit which helps regulate the voltage output. The input capacitor and output capacitor act as a storage unit to help maintain the stability of the output voltage and reduce the current ripple. The voltage reference provides the target voltage of the output. The current limit protects the output. The feedback loop helps regulate the voltage output by comparing the actual voltage level to the reference setpoint.
It can adjust the regulator output through adjusting the input voltage, output current as well as the gain. Dynamic performance can also be improved by increasing the input and output capacitance.The input voltage can range from 2V to 18V, output current up to 500mA and output voltage from 1V to 8V.
