LE45ABD-TR is a fully integrated voltage regulator, incorporating an internal voltage level shifter, a low drop-out (LDO) regulator, a switching regulator and a current limiter circuit.The voltage level shifter takes an input voltage range of 0.5V to 6V and converts it to a higher voltage level of 1.4V to 6V, which is suitable for the LDO regulator. The LDO regulator then takes the higher voltage level and lowers it to the desired output voltage. The switching regulator then takes the output voltage and increases the current while maintaining the desired voltage. Finally, the current limiter circuit monitors the current and limits it to an acceptable level.
