LE50CZ, a Regulated Charge Pump DC-DC Converter Voltage Regulator, is a high performance, low noise and low power voltage regulator integrated circuit (IC) from STMicroelectronics. It is designed for low voltage applications and is typically used in mobile phones, digital cameras and other portable devices.The LE50CZ uses a charge pump switching regulator topology and is capable of providing a regulated output voltage, typically 3.3V, from inputs of 2.6V to 6V. The switches are controlled by the control circuitry and are used to adjust the amount of energy transferred from the inductor.The linear regulator is used to ensure that the output voltage is constant and within a certain range. The linear regulator works by taking the feedback from the output voltage and comparing it to the reference voltage. Once the output voltage rises above the reference voltage, the linear regulator will begin to reduce the current and voltage going to the output stage to reduce the output voltage.
