The LFJ600303PID (PB) fuseholder is a multi-purpose, economically priced unit for use in many industrial or consumer applications. It is a versatile and affordable fuse holder that meets EN60825-4 and UL30 J requirements for non-operating fuseholders. The PB fuseholder features an over-molded construction using nylon which provides shock, vibration, and flame resistant operation. The PB fuseholder is available in two sizes – 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch.The PB fuseholder is designed to house either a Type W 600V fuse and other approved fuses. Our standard design is optimized for fuses from sizes 600V to 500,000V. The induction welded body ensures optimized electrical contact between the fuse holder components and the fuse blade. The insulated grip wire is designed to provide a secure grip on the fuse and ensure that it is properly inserted and held in place. The self-extinguishing plastics provide enhanced flame retardance during operation and ensure safer operation.The PB fuseholder features a positive snap closure which ensures proper closure of the fuse holder and allows for easy insertion and removal of the fuse. The interlocking design prevents the fuse from being removed under stress, while providing a secure connection between the contacts and terminals.The PB fuseholder has both a high temperature rating and a low dust accumulation rating, ensuring that the PB fuseholder is well suited for use in both industrial and consumer applications. The self-extinguishing body is designed to provide an increased level of safety in the event of an accidental spark or fire.The working principles of the PB fuseholder are relatively simple. The contacts on the fuse holder form a gap across which the fuse must be connected. This gap provides a path for the electricity, or current, to flow through the fuse. As the current increases, it will create a buildup of heat in the fuse. If the current reaches a certain level, the heat from the fuse will cause it to melt or burn. This will stop the current from travelling further and prevent it from damaging any other equipment or components connected to the fuse.
