The LM10010SD/NOPB is a precision system power monitor that integrates a multitude of features, including high accuracy and low drift voltage and current measurements, low power modes, and two electrically isolated outputs. It is designed to provide superior performance in the application fields of power management, precision system conditioning, power sensing and monitoring, diagnostic design, and local or remote control systems.

The LM10010SD/NOPB interfaces directly to electrical systems ranging from 3V to 24V and converts both low and high current ranges (up to 115mA min, 250mA max) with 0.5% accuracy over a temperature range of -40 to +125 °C. It is capable of measuring single phase or phase-shifted AC/DC signals. The LM10010SD/NOPB provides a rich feature set like: multiple input range (3V to 24V) with 4% minimum accuracy over the full power range, dual output voltage/current measurement with ±2.5%, 3.2 to 24V output, no additional components needed, thermal protection, power supply cycling, two isolated outputs and two additional results pins.

The working principle of the LM10010SD/NOPB is based on two integrated circuits. The first is a precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which converts an input voltage or current into a digital equivalent, which is then output to the microcontroller via an I2C bus. The second IC is an I2C controlled power switching circuit that is used to control the power output from the system. This circuit routes the incoming power to either the ADC or the “power house”, which contains multiple power output stages for varying voltage/current requirements. This circuit regulates the output current and voltage to the desired levels and can be dynamically adjusted over the input power range.
