It is designed as a low-power-consumption, low-voltage, comparator with two independently operable outputs, separated by their base band voltages.The LM139D is designed with a dual comparator configuration where each comparator has its own set of inputs. The output of each comparator is independent of the other. A differential voltage is applied between the two inputs and the output of each comparator will reflect the comparison between the respective input voltages. The LM139D responds quickly to small changes in the differential voltage allowing it to have fast operation times.Applications for the LM139D mainly include applications that require a fast response time to quickly detect and react to changes in input levels.
