Working Principle
LM258AM is a general-purpose dual-channel high-speed and high accuracy operational amplifier. The typical characteristics are a bandwidth of 0.3 MHz, a gain of 219 dB, a slew rate of 10 V/us and a power supply voltage of ±15 V. The internal structure of OP amp consists of three stages; the first-stage is the input stage, the second is the intermediate stage, and the final stage is the output stage. The working principle of the LM258AM is that two input signals enter from the two input terminals of the input stage, and the two signals are combined by the non-inverting amplifier in the input stage. Then the amplified signal enters the second stage which is the intermediate stage. In this stage, the gain and offset of the output signal are adjusted by the resistance, capacitance and differential amplifier circuit. The output stage contains a voltage amplifier and a filter circuit, which can amplify the output signal or low-pass or high-pass the output signal, and finally send the outputs out through the output terminal.
