LM2852Y-1.8EVAL evaluation boards are designed to provide a platform to test and validate components from the TI family of AC/DC off-line switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and DC/DC switching regulators. lm2852Y-1.8EVAL are equipped with an innovative technology such as digital signal processor (DSP) controllers, power factor correction (PFC) controllers and synchronous rectification (SR) circuits.

The purpose of the evaluation boards is to allow designers to quickly and accurately develop and evaluate power supply solutions. The lm2852Y-1.8EVAL boards are designed to be easy to use, allowing engineers to rapidly prototyping switch mode power supply (SMPS) and dc/dc switching regulator solutions by utilizing the features and benefits of TI\'s proprietary digital signal processor (DSP) controllers, power factor correction (PFC) controllers and synchronous rectification (SR) circuits.

The LM2852Y-1.8EVAL board contains 8 high-tech components that are used in the design and evaluation of an application. The components include an Analog Devices ADP2350 one-cycle output power factor correction (PFC) controller, Texas Instruments TPS40214 Synchronous Rectifier (SR) circuit, Texas Instruments UM1630 PFC diode, Texas Instruments TPPD5211A Digital Signal Processor (DSP) controller, NXP Semiconductors UCC2803A synchronous rectification controller, Texas Instruments TPS541L4E synchronous rectification controller, Texas Instruments TPS54194 synchronous rectification controller, and Texas Instruments TPS62062 synchronous rectifier (SR).

Each of the components is designed to perform a specific purpose that is essential in the manufacture of off-line switch mode power supplies. The Analog Devices ADP2350 one-cycle output power factor correction (PFC) controller helps to ensure efficient power delivery while the Texas Instruments TPS40214 Synchronous Rectifier (SR) circuit is used to maximize power efficiency. The Texas Instruments TPPD5211A Digital Signal Processor (DSP) controller is used to optimize the system performance, while the NXP Semiconductors UCC2803A synchronous rectification controller helps to increase system reliability.

The Texas Instruments TPS541L4E synchronous rectification controller helps to reduce system losses, while the Texas Instruments TPS54194 synchronous rectification controller aids in reducing switching noise. Lastly the Texas Instruments TPS62062 synchronous rectifier (SR) is used to improve system efficiency.

By utilizing the features and benefits of these components, engineers are able to rapidly develop and evaluate power supply solutions in order to optimize the performance of their systems. The lm2852Y-1.8EVAL evaluation board was designed to provide an easy to use platform to quickly and accurately develop and evaluate power supply solutions.
