LM3150MH/NOPB is a high performance DC-DC buck controller with an integrated step-down switcher. It is designed for use in demanding applications ranging from server and storage systems to industrial, medical, telecommunications and consumer applications. It provides a very high efficiency, continuous current regulation of up to 9A. It is also capable of stable operating temperature up to 85°C.The LM3150MH/NOPB is a low-cost, low-noise, low-ripple and high-accuracy device that has no external components required. It can achieve a very high peak current mode switching frequency of up to 2MHz, allowing for very fast transient response that is essential for applications that require dynamic response.The LM3150MH/NOPB operates by controlling the amount of current delivered to an inductor. It includes a high-side MOSFET, an adjustable current-sensing topology (CSBI), and an internal voltage regulation loop (VRL). The device also has adjustable soft start, precision current regulation and can operate in current limit OR voltage regulation modes. In voltage regulation mode, the device automatically senses the microcontroller core voltage and adjusts the voltage delivered according to its programmed voltage setpoint. In current limit mode, the device adjusts the current limit setpoint to prevent high temperatures or over-current conditions.In order to ensure optimal performance, the LM3150MH/NOPB also has built-in safety and protection features, such as under-voltage lockout, over-voltage protection and thermal shutdown.
