LM317AHVT Voltage Regulators

Working Principle

The LM317AHVT linear regulators work by regulating the output voltage by comparing it to a reference voltage. Conversely, if the output voltage is lower than the reference, the error amplifier signals for the regulator to increase the voltage.

The LM317AHVT is able to provide precise regulation even with fast line and load transients. By using an external capacitor and resistor in conjunction with the internal circuitry, the regulator is able to maintain the output voltage within a specified tolerance.
