Working principle
The LM3311SQX/NOPB works by using an internal PWM feedback circuit and comparator to regulate the output voltage. The feedback circuit samples the output voltage and drives an internal pulse width modulated (PWM) signal to the switch terminal of the output stage. This PWM signal is used to toggle the switch thereby controlling the output voltage. The output voltage is further regulated by adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM signal. The duty cycle is adjusted by the pwm comparator which compares the feedback voltage with a predetermined reference voltage.
The LM3311SQX/NOPB also contains a wide range of integrated protections including over current protection, short circuit protection and over temperature protection.
