When a microcontroller sends a start signal, or a pulse signal, to the internal IC logic block, the MOSFET switches are activated and the internal oscillator also starts to operate. During each clock cycle, current will be allowed to flow from the input source to the output until a preset voltage like 21V is reached, followed by slope compensation to prevent overshoots.
