Its wide input range of 6V-9V allows it to be powered by various power sources, like wall transformers, car batteries and more.</p><p>The board features a thermally efficient, open-drain N-channel MOSFET and two integrated protection circuits which protect against input voltage overvoltage, output voltage overvoltage, short-circuit, over-current and thermal shutdown. The board is also equipped with Reverse Bias voltage protection to protect the LEDs from reverse-voltage that occur during continuous shutdown mode.</p><p>The LM3554TMEEV board works by providing a controlled current source that is regulated by a circuit control loop. The control loop consists of the voltage sensing circuit, timing circuit, and current sampling circuit. The voltage sensing circuit monitors the input voltage of the MOSFET gate drivers and adjusts the output current of the drivers accordingly to meet the desired current setting. The timing circuit controls the MOSFET turn-on time, ramp-up time, and ramp-down time for a smooth, efficient switching.
