The LM3565EVM is an evaluation and development tool that is used to evaluate the performance of the LM3565 Synchronous Buck LED driver and to facilitate development of applications. The LM3565 is integrated with a number of features including integrated high current level-shift control, error flag and open circuit protection, and a soft-start and PWM dimming control. This device provides an efficient solution for driving LEDs with a wide current range of up to 10A and a wide dimming range.

The LM3565EVM evaluation module, developed by Texas Instruments, is a product evaluation and development tool to facilitate the development of LED driver applications. The device also provides diagnostic data via an low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface to a host board.

For applications that require precise control, the LM3565EVM offers a precision voltage control input (VCIN) as well as two programmable current sense inputs (CS1 and CS2) for operating LEDs at constant current level. The embedded power-on-reset (POR) protects the device from in-rush current. The device also includes a clock output (CLKOUT) for synchronization with the host board.

The LM3565EVM can operate at a full range of dimming levels from 0 percent to 100 percent, which is achieved by setting the PWM dimming frequency. The erase function is designed to allow for easy programming without the need to destructively modify the data stored in the EVM. It also provides an enhanced graphical user interface (GUI) for easy programming of the device and performance evaluation.

The LM3565EVM supports two output voltage configurations: 2.5V and 3.3V. This is a cost-effective solution for applications in which the load voltage needs to be dynamically adjusted. The wide support for both power and light control makes the LM3565EVM an ideal solution for evaluating and developing LED driver applications.
