LM3691TL-1.2EV is a high-performance controller which has a wide range of application fields including LED lighting, hot-plug power supplies, home appliances, LCD monitors, industrial control, instrumentation, audio/video systems, emergency lighting, UPS systems and automotive electronic systems. It supports the use of various magnetics, including fly-back, forward-mode and resonance-mode topologies. It works with low-cost and low-saturation power switches, such as MOSFETs, IGBTs or BJTs. It has a low power design and optimizes for conditions in terms of current flow, voltage and temperature.
As for the work principle, the LM3691TL-1.2EV is a low-power, cost-effective, high-efficiency DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. It integrates current-mode PWM control with a minimum number of external components. It offers the user a wide range of features, such as over-voltage, overload, open-loop, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. It is capable of providing a wide range of output power levels up to 5 W, with output current and voltage ripple levels as low as 1% and 10% respectively.
