The LM385BXM-2.5/NOPB is a precision voltage reference from the PMIC - Voltage Reference family, providing a highly accurate and stable output for multiple electronic products. It features an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and a very low 0.25 mA operating current. It has a wide range of applications, including temperature measurement, digital systems, high-speed oscillators, switched supplies and voltage references.
The LM385BXM-2.5/NOPB is a two-terminal device with an adjustable voltage range of 1.600 V to 16.00 V, and two output configurations – adjustable and fixed. The adjustable version can be adjusted in just one operation, without any external components, while the fixed version is used where voltage regulation is required up to a predetermined value. The device can also be used to create a precision voltage reference which can be accurately adjusted to any value within its specified range.
The LM385BXM / NOPB uses a patented proprietary process and is designed to provide high accuracy and stability over a wide range of temperature, voltage, and load conditions. The precision reference output pin is internally compensated for temperature and process variables, and the low temperature drift and low output impedance provide for a stable reference voltage. Additionally, the device includes an integrated current-sense input that enables the device to monitor and control the current in the circuit.
For positive output voltages, the LM385BXM / NOPB is structured with a bandgap reference but also includes a temperature-compensated voltage reference to ensure accuracy and stability of the output voltage. The voltage reference is also protected against temperature, voltage, and input transients for both positive and negative polarity. The reference is also designed to meet tight line and load regulation requirements, with regulation as low as 0.005% over a temperature range of +70°C to –55°C, at any load or line condition.
The LM385BXM-2.5 / NOPB also offers protection against input and output overvoltage conditions. It is also designed to withstand surge currents up to 5A and is designed to not be destroyed by reverse connection or negative transients. In addition, the device is designed to operate in a wide range of supply voltages of 2V to 36V.
The LM385BXM-2.5 / NOPB is an ideal solution for applications that require a reliable and accurate voltage reference.
