LM385M-1.2/NOPB is a voltage reference voltage regulator in the form of a monolithic integrated circuit. It drives wide variety of applications. It is a type of Linear Voltage Regulator (LVR) where it regulates a constant voltage output by controlling an input voltage via a low voltage control signal.

The LM385M-1.2/NOPB accepts an input voltage as low as 2.5V, and supplies a regulated output voltage of 1.2V. This voltage regulator is suitable for use in medium power applications, such as electronic systems and portable electronic devices. It is especially suitable for applications where low idle current, high accuracy, and stable output voltage are important.

The LM385M-1.2/NOPB offers an excellent voltage accuracy of ±1%, high power supply rejection ratio of 0.2%, and low line and load regulation of 0.2%. This voltage regulator can also provide output voltage of 1.2V with a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Special thermal protection and over-temperature protection features offer optimal performance in extreme temperature conditions. Additionally, it provides exceptional protection against over-current and overheating.

The working principle behind LM385M-1.2/NOPB is based on a linear voltage regulator. This voltage regulator works with an internal negative feedback loop to regulate the output voltage by comparing its input with a reference voltage generated internally. The difference between the input voltage and the reference voltage is used to control the output voltage, and thereby maintain a constant output voltage. When the output voltage rises above its reference voltage, the feedback loop will reduce the current flowing through the circuit, thereby reducing the output voltage.
