It has the feature of default temperature offset. The output is read using the I2C-compatible bus interface. It includes an address pin that can be used for connecting multiple devices to one bus. The I2C bus implements auto-addressing, allowing up to eight devices to be connected in one loop.
The working of LM71CISDX/NOPB is based on a sensing mechanism inspired by Dickson-principle. The temperature reads from the junction of two N-type MOSFETs which are connected to a current source. The current source creates a voltage across the MOSFETs which is proportional to the temperature, and the I2C-bus interface measures this voltage and converts it to digital output signal. The sensing element is designed in such a way that the voltage at the center of the MOSFETs junction is maintained at its optimal level.
The LM71CISDX/NOPB has low noise, wide dynamic range, and fast conversion rate. The noise produced by the device is negligible and its linearity is very low.
