The LM76002QRNPRQ1 is a DC-DC converter from the range of voltage regulators offered by Texas Instruments. It is classed as a DC-DC switching regulator and is designed to provide a more efficient solution for managing power demands in demanding applications.The LM76002QRNPRQ1 is an integrated switch mode power supply that incorporates two power MOSFETs configured as a synchronous rectifier. It is an inverting converter that can operate in either a buck or boost mode configuration, giving it two modes. The two operating modes in combination with the switch mode rectification, allow the LM76002QRNPRQ1 to be used in a variety of applications.In buck mode, the LM76002QRNPRQ1 is used to supply a fixed output voltage from a high voltage source, such as a lithium battery. The input voltage to the LM76002QRNPRQ1 is supplied by the high voltage source, and it is then converted to the required output voltage. This output voltage is returned to the load and is regulated by the active voltage regulation circuit. The advantage of this topology is that the current drawn from the high voltage source is always maintained at its lowest level, thus resulting in improved power efficiency. The frequency of the switching signal is determined by an external clock, allowing the user to reduce power consumption at the low-power ends of its operating range.In boost mode, the LM76002QRNPRQ1 is used to step up a low voltage source to a higher voltage.
