LM79L15ACZ/NOPB is a linear voltage regulator with high performance switching characteristics. The device is a three-terminal, negative-voltage regulator available in the through hole TO-220-5L, TO-220FP-5L, and PowerPAK SO-8L packages. The LM79L15ACZ is able to provide output voltages of -5V, -12V and -15V with a maximum output current of 1.5A. The LM79L15ACZ have a fixed output voltage and does not require an external reference voltage. The devices have an adjustment terminal for setting the output voltage by using an external resistor divider network. The device features low dropout voltage, thermal shutdown and short circuit protection. It provides output current limit, short-circuit current limit and thermal shutdown which helps to protect the device and load.
