The LM8335EVM Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits is designed to evaluate and demonstrate the LM8335 3-phase BLDC motor controller. The board features a two-quadrant three-phase motor controller for Field Oriented Control (FOC) of a three-phase BLDC motor. The board operates with an external microcontroller and is equipped with I/O connectors and USB communication ports for connection to an external controller and I/O expansion boards.
The LM8335EVM features a sturdy built-in aluminum housing that houses the power module, bridge and other components. A robust heatsink is included to ensure efficient cooling of the controller. The onboard motor driver, sensing and I/O connectors allow for quick and easy motor evaluation and testing.
The LM8335EVM includes a motor controller, a bridge driver, a PWM input port, a power module, and other components to control a three-phase BLDC motor. The board has a built-in Field Oriented Control (FOC) algorithm for controlling the three-phase BLDC motor.The LM8335EVM board has two external input ports for controlling the speed of the motor. The speed is controlled using either a potentiometer or a PWM signal.
The power module contains three half-bridges and two power FET drivers. The three-phase BLDC motor is controlled by using two Quadrature PWM signals.Each half-bridge is controlled by one Quadrature PWM signal.The PWM signals must be generated externally.The half bridges are protected from over current and short circuit, so there is no need for additional protection circuitry.
