The LM89-1DIMMX/NOPB is a highly integrated, digital output temperature sensor designed to give reliable results with optimal quality, response time and accuracy. It is an analog and digital output classification of temperature sensors and takes advantage of modern analogue circuit designs.

The LM89-1DIMMX/NOPB is a digital output temperature sensor that detects temperature over a range of -20°C to +100°C and then produces a digital output signal that can be used for further analysis and processing. Its temperature measurements are accurate to 0.1°C and the response time is typically 5s. The sensor also features a low power consumption of only 25mW, making it suitable for battery operated applications.

The LM89-1DIMMX/NOPB integrates a precise temperature measuring circuit using a hybrid metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) sensor for temperature measurement. This integrated temperature sensing circuit consists of two metal-oxide-semiconductor transistors. The on-chip transistor MOS is connected to a temperature sensitive resistor that can measure small temperature changes and supply the transistors with a stable operating level voltage.

The two transistors are connected in a manner that produces an output voltage that is proportional to the input temperature. When the temperature changes, the two transistor signals simultaneously vary in both direction and amplitude, resulting in an output voltage that is proportional to the temperature. The output voltage is then amplified to an appropriate level and is sent to the digital circuit which then converts the voltage into a digital signal.

The LM89-1DIMMX/NOPB also features digital temperature compensation which can compensate the sensor\'s performance to 0.1°C accuracy, based on the configured temperature range and the ambient temperature effect. This temperature compensation is used to maintain the accuracy and linearity of the temperature measurement.}

The sensor also features an on-board temperature to digital converter (TDC) which converts the voltage output of the temperature sensing elements into a digital signal that can be sent to the circuit’s output port. This digital output signal can then be used in conjunction with an MCU or any other microprocessor to further analyze or use the results.
