The LMC6061IMX/NOPB is a high-performance, low-noise, internally compensated instrumentation Amplifier. This device is designed to achieve an excellent voltage noise performance, excellent CMRR performance, and low power operation in an ultra-small package. The LMC6061IMX/NOPB has a wide range of applications in critical sensing applications including data acquisition, digital signal processing, video, precision capacitance measurement, automotive, instrumentation, and more. It is well suited for applications requiring high input impedance, low power, and low cost.

The LMC6061IMX/NOPB is a unity-gain, single-ended input, single-ended output (SE-SO) instrumentation amplifier. It is powered by a single 5.0 V supply and is capable of an output range between GND and VCC. The low power consumption and wide supply range of the LMC6061IMX/NOPB make it ideal for portable and battery-powered applications. It offers excellent CMRR (common-mode rejection ratio) of >100 dB at 1 kHz and power supply rejection ratio of > 50 dB at DC. The equivalent input noise voltage is 0.3 μVrms in the 100 Hz to 10 kHz frequency range and the input bias current is 20 μA.

The LMC6061IMX/NOPB has a wide gain bandwidth product of 1 GHz and wide common-mode voltage range up to the negative supply. It is capable of driving more than 5 mA of load current making it suitable for driving high-impedance sensors. Its exceptionally low input offset voltage and low-input noise voltage make it an excellent choice for powering sensitive low-signal analog-to-digital converters. The device features an internal compensation network, which allows stable operation even at very large gain settings so that it is ideal for precision-sensing applications.

The working principle of the LMC6061IMX/NOPB is simple. It uses two large external resistors connected at the non-inverting and inverting inputs to form a voltage divider circuit. The voltage divider produces a small, fixed voltage across a feedback resistor. This fixed voltage is used to generate the required gain for the amplifier. The amplifier then amplifies the input signal and applies the amplified signal to the output.
