Linear comparators are specialized op-amp circuits that compare two analog input signals and produce an digital output based on the relative signal levels. Generally, linear comparators perform better than generic op-amps for signal comparison tasks and their small size makes them ideal for very low power applications. The LMC7225IM5X/NOPB is a low snubber low-power low-offset voltage single-supply comparator with rail-to-rail input from Texas Instruments.
