Application Field and Working Principle of LMH0341SQE/NOPB

The LMH0341SQE/NOPB is a high speed, low power differential line driver used to interface digital signals between a device or circuit and a transmission line, usually to reduce the effects of system noise, electro-magnetic interference, and crosstalk. It is a high performance, integrated monolithic device designed for the transmission of fast and low-skew data, such as DVI and HDMI signals.

The high speed capability of the LMH0341SQE/NOPB is made possible by an internal termination resistor and high performance P-channel output driver. This allows for higher-speed data transmission with minimal system noise, electro-magnetic interference, and crosstalk. The internal termination resistor is a non-negotiable feature and provides a stable 50 ohm termination to the transmission line in order to reduce reflection, noise, and crosstalk.

The LMH0341SQE/NOPB differential line driver is also compatible with both current-mode logic (CML) and voltage-mode logic (BTL) systems. The device features the ability to switch between the two logic modes. The CML mode has a low output impedance, which allows for low-level noise transmission, while the BTL mode offers a high output impedance, making it suitable for high speed data transmission. Both modes offer low power consumption.

The device also includes a differential enable/disable pin that allows users to adjust the device’s output voltage level.
