The LMR23615EVMA is a high-performance integrated circuit evaluation board based on Texas Instruments' LMR23615 self-protected synchronous buck algorithm converter. This evaluation board allows users to develop their own custom applications for a wide variety of switch-mode DC/DC power conversion systems, including off-line AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies. The evaluation board contains a broad range of features that simplify the design of a wide variety of switchmode DC/DC regulators, including an integrated test circuit, an adjustable output voltage, a PFC (power factor correction) controller, and a switching frequency calculator. Additionally, the evaluation board features a comprehensive onboard safety system, which includes overcurrent protection, thermal protection, and short-circuit protection.

The evaluation board's main component is the Texas Instruments LMR23615 self-protected synchronous buck converter. This converter uses Texas Instruments' patented self-protection technology to prevent the IC from being damaged in the event of an overload by forcibly reducing the output current to a safe level. The LMR23615 can operate in both continuous and discontinuous conduction modes and has adjustable switch-mode frequency and ramping time, which allows users to optimize the performance of their power converter for different load conditions.
